Architectural Technologist (5 + Years Experience)

McGirr Architects Ltd is a design-led Belfast-based architectural practice delivering commercial, community, educational and residential projects across Ireland.
Due to continued workload, we are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team.
The Role
This position involves the technical development and coordination of projects from planning through to construction stage. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong regulatory knowledge and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary information into complete, well-resolved construction packages.
Key Responsibilities

Preparation of detailed tender and construction drawing packages

Production of NBS specifications and associated documentation
-
Ensuring compliance with NI & ROI Building Regulations

Close coordination with consultants and contractors
-
Contribution to technical reviews and construction stage services
Essential Requirements
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in architectural practice

Proficiency in AutoCAD
-
Comprehensive knowledge of NI Building Regulations

Strong understanding of construction systems and detailing

Experience preparing NBS specifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills

ROI Building Regulations knowledge

Revit / BIM environment experience
-
NI planning system experience
